Dave Chappelle was supposedly unharmed after an followership member rushed the stage and physically attacked the funnyman in the middle of his performance in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
Security staff chased the bushwhacker until they detained him off stage at the Hollywood Bowl.
The bushwhacker was latterly attended from the venue on a stretcher and appeared to have injuries to his arm and face.
The funnyman appeared to lose his countenance shortly, and latterly joked"That was a trans man,".
At one point, Chappelle faded from view to detect the bushwhacker. When he returned, he said,"I have been doing this 35 times.
I just stomped a (n- word) confidentially — always wanted to do that," appearing to relate to his bushwhacker.
In the special, Chappelle jokes about trans women and their genitalia and defendsJ.K. Rowling against critics who say she's transphobic.
The altercation also follows another high- profile stage attack, in which actor Will Smith slighted funnyman Chris Rock for a joke Rock told about Smith's woman.
Before in his set, which was part of the Netflix Is A Joke jubilee, Chappelle bandied"the poke' heard round the world,"and said both Smith's and Rock's conduct reverberated with him.
Rock, who had a brief set before in the show, came back on stage and joked," Was that Will Smith?"
